Waspmote is an open source wireless sensor platform specially focused on the implementation of low consumption modes which allows the sensor nodes ("motes") to be completely autonomous, that is battery powered. Lifetime of Waspmote sensor nodes may go from 1 to 5 years depending on the duty cycle and the radio used.

Waspmote 868 UFL 4.5 DBI modules are long-range embedded RF modules providing end-point device connectivity for European applications. Supporting RF line-of-sight distances up to 80 km, these modules are ideal for challenging wireless environments where RF penetration and transmission distance are critical to the application. Only for use in EUROPE
