Post subject:  Raspberry PI with SIM900

I am looking for a proto device which has Raspberry PI and SIM900 (or any GPRS module). One of the main thing i am looking for is i dont want to use AT commands rather i have to use GPRS data like normal internet connectivity. Our code run in Raspberry PI / NodeJS. We are planning to use MQTT protocol for sending out data, so normal HTTP post commands is not ideal. We are bit confused here since we are not pro devices guys.

Please let us know.

Hello siransri,
We only know GPS modules with UART interface.. it seems that is the standard in GPS modules.
Maybe you can purchase an UART GPS module and one adapt I2C/SPI to UART like this:
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/9981
thus you can control the module through I2C or SPI.
Regards.
