I would like to automate hydroponic and aquaponic seperate systems.
As per my understanding to complete the Hydro kit i will need the following, could you please confirm/suggest?
1x OpenGarden Hydro kit
1x Electro-valve (for adding water)
1x Water level sensor (optional)
1x 433Mhz RF link kit
1x RF Power Strip (5 sockets)
1x wifi module to upload data to server, please recommend

- Do i need Ardunio uno for the kit?
- Does the microchip on OpenGarden come with the "bootloader" and basic settings? Will i need some ardunio kit to install that as suggested in documentation?

There is not much about the webgui possible settings, for example:
1. Program electrical sockets by time and/or uppon a change in a value in either of the sensors
2. log events or send alerts to email
3. show status of the system and diffrent sensors data
4. Control both Aquaponics & Hydroponics systems using the same interface

As for the Aquaponic system, is it possible to control up to 7-10 electrical sockets?

And last:
Is there a hack to connect PH minus feeder when PH level goes down?or perhaps a Nutrietent feeder that controls up to 5 liqueds for the hydroponic kit?

Hello reptile,

first of all, Open Garden doesn't have a microchip, you will need an Arduino Uno, as you can see in this step: ... ng#step2_4

All our software are basic example codes, so you can modify them, improve them and construct new and bigger programs adapting to your needs.

Open Garden doesn't include water level sensors, or peristaltic pumps for dosing pH minus or nutrient liquids, you can check Open Aquarium for this: ... ng-arduino

Our RF power strip have five sockets, you could use two at the same time: ... n-aquarium

Finally to upload data to a server, as you can see here: ... ring#step8
we recommend this module: ... compatible
and you will also need this shield for it: ... xb-bt-rfid
