Post subject:  LoRa shield with Raspberry Pi3 - Antennas

Hi, I'm installing a lot of raspberry pi with a LoRa shield on top of it and I was wondering if there is any other antenna other than the ones that comes with the LoRa shield.

I would need something smaller and maybe different colors. With that said, do you think it is possible to paint the antenna without losing any data? Is the signal going to be as good as a non-painted antenna?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Regards

Hello iPat16,

We have tested many antennas and select the better choice, anyway you can use any antenna in the LoRa frequency range (sub-gigahertz).

You can paint the antenna without signal loses but ensure that the paint do not content metalic compounds. You can use a plastic paint.
