I have mounted Prusa It3. I use manual control from the computer, by means of Cura. Only the axis Y works, but not other axes. What does happen?

Hello:

Whichs version of the firmware have you use?
I have uploaded Marlin.ino (of Marlin-Marlin_v1).

Did you calibrate the drivers?
I suppose that you speak about the drivers of the stepper motors. I simply have put, in Marlin.ino (with regard to DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT), the same values put in the page Cooking Hacks.
Yours faitfully

Hi sanchezferrer,

please try with this Marlin:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7zp9i6aw8jich ... lin_v1.rar

To adjust thee drivers, measure the voltage on the wiper of the pot you are adjusting and set it to 0.4V. That will give 1A, which is the max the driver will do without a heatsink, It seems to be enough to run all the axes of your 3D printer, it might be a bit low for an extruder.

Reagards.

I am grateful for his information.
I use RepRap Arduino Mega Pololu Shield (RAMPS). I have solved the problem exchanging the stepper drivers on RAMPS, but I do not know the reason of this solution.

Hi sanchezferrer,

Maybe it was a bad connection between the two components.

Thanks for your contribution to the Cooking Hacks community.

Hi sanchezferrer,

I have managed to work out some issues thanks to some of this forum's members. For my experience:

If you have not connected the end switches yet may need to or edit in Config.h file
If nothing moves, try to home at least one axis first.
Extruder will only move when the temperature is reached at least on the extruder.

Cheers
