Good afternoon all,
I am now aware that the SPO2 sensor and W5100 Ethernet shield are incompatible when using an Arduino Uno. I am struggling to understand why these devices cannot be connected, I see that pins 10, 11, 12 and 13 are shared by the two devices and that pin 10 for the W5100 is the "slave select" pin. However why can these pins not simply be changed in the .h files of the two devices?
Any explanation would be appreciated,
Regards

Can I ask then is it possible to change the pins that the SPO2 sensor is using, I see in the eHealth.cpp file that the SPO2 sensor covers digital pins 13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6. Could the file be changed to use pins 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3 or must these be kept constant?

Hello topping25,

It is not possible because this shield uses all the pins, and therefore they are connected to other circuits that will interfere with the operation.

Regards
