Hello,

For an experiment I will need a system that monitors ECG data and initiates stimuli based on the ECG. As the equipment I use needs to be certified, I wondered whether it is possible to set up such a system using the MySignals Software. Is this possible to not only display the data, but also extract them and use them in a program for stimulus presentation?

Thanks for your help!

Hello mlw,

in this case, in which you are interested in extracting the information of ECG sensor to make your own application, we recommend MySignals HW.

https://www.cooking-hacks.com/mysignals-hw-ehealth-medical-biometric-iot-platform-arduino-tutorial/

You have a code available to read the raw data of the ECG wave:

#include "Wire.h"

void setup()
{
  Serial.begin(115200);
  MySignals.begin();
}

void loop()
{

  float ECG = MySignals.getECG(VOLTAGE);

  Serial.print("ECG value :  ");
  Serial.print(ECG, 2);
  Serial.println(" V");

  // wait for a millisecond
  delay(1);

}

Hello,

Thanks for your reply! I have considered this option indeed, but I can only used certified equipment. The MySignals HW is not certified at the moment right? Will this change in the near future?

Best,
Marieke
