I have received Airflow Breathing Sensor but it works only partly . I thing the airflow has a bug.

The sensor has three parts (left thermistor, right thermistor and thermistor for mouth.)
Thermistor for mouth and the right thermistor are positive and work ok. Left thermistor works ok but it is negative. It seems that bad combination of thermistors was used because the reaction is just opposite.

It means that the resistance of the thermistor for mouth and the right one are increasing with increasing temperature. The resistance of the left thermistor is decreasing.

We get the good result only when we use only left or right thermistor - it means only one.


The question is how you can solve it.

The Airflow sensor is developed to work with MySignals HW & SW, we can't give you support if you are using it with other circuit.

By using these circuits, your sensor gives wrong curves and wrong results.
They are different from those results which you showed you obtained.
My measurements provide these curves
for the left sensor only,
for the nose right sensor only,
for the both nose sensors together.

Apparently, it is broken and I told you also the reason which you have ignored for now.
Namely, it has inverse thermistors for the left and the right hole, and this I demostrated by ohmmeter measurement.
This was professionally ignored by you, for now.
Your sales department told me that in the case of reclamations the technical department has to write their opinion at the forum.

I ask for really technician opinion and for clear confirmation that the sensor is built of broken parts!!! And to pass the complaint back to the sales department to finally solve the problem.

This is not our last circuit. The sensor that you are using is designed to use with these products:

The schematic that you are using, is from an old platform called "e-health". This platform used this airflow sensor:

Which is very different to the sensor that you have bought:

In addition, the new MySignals platforms are not open hardware and we do not provide the schematics to create your own circuits.


As i have mentioned, the circuit that you are using, was developed to use with other airflow sensor, not with the new one.


We gave you the output from MySignals SW with the new airflow sensor. Obviously, it can't be the same output.


As you said, thermistor for mouth and the right thermistor are positive. Left thermistor is negative. We have tested it in our warehouse and all of them work like this. It is not broken, but you are using the incorrect circuit. We recommend you to use MySignals.


I hope the current response is right for you. You are using a wrong circuit with the new Airflo sensor designed for MySignals. I feel the misunderstanding in the previous answer and that this was not to your liking. It is my fault for not developing it more deeply.
