Hi Cooking Hacks,

I have the 3G+GPS shield and I am using it with a Raspberry Pi 2. I also have an AT&T sim card as recommended in the tutorial for connecting the shield to 3G.

I would like to use the shield as a modem and have attempted to connect on my Raspberry PI 2 (because this is Linux OS) and my Windows 7 PC. I am following this tutorial: http://www.cooking-hacks.com/skin/front ... torial.pdf. Another source I have followed is your YouTube video.

I am not having any success with connecting using either the Linux or the Windows 7 directions. I know my SIM card works because I have been able to retrieve information over HTTP code.

For Linux: I have also tried Sakis because a few people were having better success with Sakis instead of wvdial. Wvdial is what the tutorial recommends. I think the cause of failure might be due to the wvdial.conf file. What settings did you use for your AT&T sim card?

For Windows 7: I have downloaded all of the drivers described. Then I open HyperTerminal and set the baud rate to 115200 and fill out the other 4 blocks as shown. HyperTerminal "connects" to COM9 which is the Port on my Window's Device Manager which says that it is configured for AT commands. This "connection" does not send any "AT" commands nor does it receive "OK" back. The connection seems to persist, but I don't actually get any internet access.
