Is it possible to use together the 3G + GPS shield over raspberryPI (https://www.cooking-hacks.com/documenta ... i-tutorial) and the SX1272 LoRa module for Raspberry Pi (https://www.cooking-hacks.com/documenta ... o/#step3_3)?

When I use the SX1272 module standalone it works:
when I execute the SX_01a_TX_LoRa.cpp code it works and the output is:

Code:
SX1272 module and Raspberry Pi: send packets without ACK
Setting power ON: state 0
Setting Mode: state 0
Setting Header ON: state 0
Setting Channel: state 0
Setting CRC ON: state 0
Setting Power: state 0
Setting Node address: state 0
SX1272 successfully configured

Packet sent, state 0
Packet sent, state 0

when I plug the 3G shield it stop to work:
when I execute the SX_01a_TX_LoRa.cpp code it doesn't work and the output is:

Code:
SX1272 module and Raspberry Pi: send packets without ACK
Setting power ON: state 1
Setting Mode: state 1
Setting Header ON: state -1
Setting Channel: state 1
Setting CRC ON: state 1
Setting Power: state 1
Setting Node address: state 1
SX1272 successfully configured

Packet sent, state 1

The 3G module is used like an USB modem and the internet connection works.
The jumpers over the 3G shield are showed into the following picture:

Serial com: Ard
Power jumper: left
Arduino/RaspberryPi jumper: RPI

Hello Nicola,

if you are using 3G shield as USB modem you should not plug it in the top of connection bridge. Try again connecting it only with the USB cable.

Regards.

With the same jumper configuration but with the "power source selector" of the "Raspberry Pi to Arduino Shields Connection Bridge" set on the right, I have unplugged the 3G shield and plug it again, and now it works.
So I am using the 3G shield with the USB cable like an USB modem with a RaspberryPI2(using wvdial following your guide here: http://www.cooking-hacks.com/skin/frontend/default/cooking/pdf/3G_modem_tutorial.pdf
and the LoRa module together and it works well.
