Hi,

I am using the following GSM/GPRS module
http://www.cooking-hacks.com/index.php/ ... duino.html

I am currently using an 11.1V lipo to satisfy its power requirement.
Can I use NiMH batteries instead? I planned to use 8X1.2V (2350 mAh) NiMah rechargeable batteries.

Or if you suggest another alternative, that would be great.

I just don't want to use Lipo due to it's charger, can only be found on Hobby shops and if overcharged batteries may explode ... on the other hand NiMH look pretty much like regular Alkaline batteries and can be charged the same way.

#2. will it work on a car battery?

Hello,

You should not have problem.

You can power the module in different ways if you get the necessary voltage and current.

Regards.
