 Post subject: RS-232 Module Tutorial for Arduino

I have purchased the RS-232 module with the multi-protocol radio shield, uploaded the supplied code by the tutorial provided on cooking hacks website to my arduino to test the hardware and had no response.

Please help, is there a problem with my hardware or software. I also downloaded all the ArduPi libraries and using them.

Hi jelm1995,

Can you give us more information? Which board are you using? Arduino UNO, raspberry...

Can you upload some photos to see how do you connect your hardware?

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I'm using an Arduino UNO and trying to achieve communications to my ADS1115 and MAX31856 with a thermocouple type K attached. Using RS232 to display values such as temperature and pressure live to my com port.

For now I'm just using TMP36 to test the hardware and using your example code and haven't had any luck with that.

Hi jelm1995,

Can you show us real photos of your hardware? We want to see how do you connect all.

Have you tried the other socket of the board? Review the jumpers and the speed of the port.

Unfortunately due to my workspace policies I'm not allowed to take picture nor upload pictures into forums. Hope you can understand.

How can I test if my RS-232 module and Multiprotocol Radio Shield are not faulty.

Is it possible to connect MAX31856 and ADS1115 into the RS-232 module and multiportocol Radio shield for comm port communication to display my temperature and pressure values?

Without picture sis not easy to us to know if you hardware is connected correctly or not. See the configuration of your hardware is very important to us.

All the examples of the library and the tutorial can help you to know if the RS-232 module and Multiprotocol Radio Shield are not faulty.
