I have a problem when I plug my temperature sensor into the I2C port of my base shield. The module RN2483 doesn't work as well before. I don't have configuration on my console. Do you think it's due to the temperature sensor because the module LoRaWAN use also the I2C at the same time ?

I thought the module RN2483 with the multiprotocol radio used the UART and not I2C.

Hi Titi,

The multiprotocol Shield uses i2c to select one socket or the other. Review the addresses of each component no avoid problems.

I launched a program to analyse the I2C component adress. So, I have a result that indicate to the temperature sensor is to 0x40 (normal because it's define in the library) but if I change this address the sensor doesn't work.

Whereas the LoRaWAN module address is 0x20. So the addresses are differents. I read something about the requestFrom() function. Normaly, after execution a stop message sent to release the communication bus. Do you have any ideas ?

Hello titi,

It looks like some of your i2c devices are locking the i2c bus.

Check these issues:
1.- Your sensor device i2c works to 5V.
2.- Ensure that you the pull up resistors in SCL and SCA are correctly.
3.- When you put more that one i2c devices in the same bus it is recommended to use i2c isolators. And it is mandatory if some of your i2c devices is power off (this device will block the i2c bus)

Regards

Moreover, how can I access to the I2C address assignment concerning the LoRaWAN module ? You had to implement it in order to communicate with this module but I didn't find in your libraries.

Concerning your reply :

1. Base shield arduino works at 5V
2. I search in the datasheet my resistances are implemented (of course) in pull up
3. My devices are always power on , each loop the sensor receive data if data exceed nominal value I want to send the data with the appropriate format

Here you have got the datasheet of the i2c component that you have got in the board:

But your sensor, works at 5V or at 3v3?

Hi titi,

Can you say us the Manufacturer Part Number of the sensor?

Thanks.

hi,

this is the temperature & humidity sensor (v1.0) of Grove component. Seeed studio supply a library and I saw the I2C address into it. I give you the website link :

Thanks to advance.
