Post subject:  nema17 step motor, what power supply?

I have 2 nema 17 stepper motors rated at 5v and .84 amps. I don't know much about these things. I'm trying to run it off a wall wart that is rated at 4.5v and 1000 mA MAX. I suspect that my motor is not moving because this power supply is not strong enough. What range of power would be acceptable to run this stepper motor?

My stepper motor:

Hi,

In order to get more information about stepper motors in Arduino please take a look at the next link.

If the Arduino can't provide enough energy to the motor maybe you need to power supply the board through the power jack.
