Hi,

I'm trying to configure a RaspberryPi 3 to work with a "4G + GPS shield" (https://www.cooking-hacks.com/4g-gps-3g-gprs-gsm-gps-lte-wcdma-hspa-shield-for-arduino)
I use the following hardware configuration:

https://ibb.co/c87ySv
https://ibb.co/kSMgfF
https://ibb.co/nwArfF

Based on https://www.cooking-hacks.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8912&p=28086 and https://www.cooking-hacks.com/documentation/tutorials/4g-gps-lte-wcdma-hspa-3g-gprs-shield-arduino-raspberry-pi-waspmote-tutorial/ tutorials I configured boot/cmdline.txt and boot/config.txt files, also added arduPi libraries.

The second example: "4G Get module information" - works fine, but for the first example "4G 01: Enter pin code": i get the error: Reading code...Error code: 255.
Also, when I run AT commands, for "AT" i get OK, but for AT+CPIN="xxxx" i get "CME ERROR: 4 Operation not supported".
Used SIM card are ok, tested with a mobile phone.

Could you tell me please what I'm missing, what I do not do right ?

Thanks I advence, Eugen.

Hi cheops,

When you use the SIM Card in your mobile phone, do you have to enter a PIN number?

Thanks.

Regards
