Just plug it into your computer and you'll charge its lithium battery (380 mAh), program it as you want and you can integrate it into your ZigBee sensor network, you can controll events, check if the pen is inside a building, open /close doors / windows ...
Connected to the computer it also can be used as a gateway to collect data from the ZigBee sensor network.
