This is the SMD version of PRT-07948, which is the unit we like to use as RTC backup and SRAM backup for GPS units. Holds battery in place with friction. The metal housing connects to the positive side of the battery and the PCB pad underneath is connected to the negative side.

This 2xAAA battery holder puts a nice finishing touch on your battery powered project. This holder features a sliding, removable cover as well as an ON/OFF switch which can be used to control power to your project.

The leads are about 150mm long, and the last 5mm of them are tinned.

This is a simple 4 cell AA battery holder. The 5 inch cable is terminated with a standard 5.5x2.1mm, center positive barrel jack connector.

The is a wonderfully simple 5V power source from Bodhilabs. This unit uses a two AA batteries and generates 5V using a DC to DC step up circuit. If you need to charge LiPo batteries, this simple charger will do just that, and do it fast! This is device that plugs into the 12-24V outlet in cars. It has a barrel plug connector that measures 5.5mm x 2.1mm, center positive, with an output of 7.5VDC and 1Amp (supposedly).

We tested one with a 12V supply and got about 7.6VDC open voltage and about 300mA short circuit. These could be good for powering an Arduino or other microcontroller from your car. As long as you don't need more than ~250mA of current, this should work just fine.

The BPW34 is a tiny, general purpose PiN photodiode. This photodiode has a ton of uses, one of which is to use it is a mini solar cell to power your project. The cell is sensitive to a wide range of light wavelengths (430-1100nm), so it should produce power in a number of different settings. The rated open circuit voltage is 350mV (900nm, 1mW/cm² light source), and short circuit current is 47μA.

These are fun (of course)! We shined a 940nm infrared LED on one of them and it produced about 0.5VDC open circuit voltage. Stringing four together in series, we were able to turn an LED on with them. They'll also produce a small voltage, ~250mV, in a brightly, fluorescent-lit room.

The CPC1822 is a monolithic photovoltaic string of solar cells.
