Are you a Cooker-hacker? We want to award you for spending a funny evening doing electronics and prepare a tasty dinner!

Send to us your hack + recipe and we will give you a 10% discount in your next order.

Documentation

Both the hack and the electronic recipe will be in a single document with the following sections:

  • Cooker-hacker name.
  • Electronic Hack:
  • - Ingredients (components, modules and tools).
  • - Difficulty (Easy/Medium/Difficult).
  • - Preparation time.
  • - Step by step instructions (text + pictures + code).
  • - (Optional) Link to a demonstration video in Youtube, Vimeo, etc. We will discard videos sent directly to us.
  • Recipe:
  • - Ingredients (e.g. meat, fish, vegetables, herbs and seasoning).
  • - Difficulty (Easy/Medium/Difficult).
  • - Preparation time.
  • - Step by step instructions (only text is required here).
  • Picture with the final result: the hack and the food (please, be creative!).

NOTE:

The electronic diagrams in this example have been made using Fritzing, an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to work creatively with interactive electronics.

The Cooking Hacks Team has developed libraries of all our arduino modules (GPS, GPRS, MicroSD, XBee, RFID, Bluetooth, Solar, ...). Fell free to download and use them with Fritzing when developing your own recipes for the Cooking Hacks community!

You have to submit both the hack and the recipe to get the discount.

Language

Hacks will be admitted in English and/or Spanish.

Presentation formats

Hacks will be presented according to the following formats:

  • Texts: .doc / .odt / .txt / .rtf
  • Pictures: .jpg / .png / .tiff / .bmp
  • Code: .doc / .odt / .txt / .rtf

License

All the elements submitted must be of your intellectual property. By submitting material you are allowing Libelium to publish and use them.

Submission

Hacks and recipes will be sent to info[@]cooking-hacks.com with subject: "Cooking Hacks: Recipe". Once your hack has been accepted you will receive a 10% discount in your account for spending in your next order in Cooking Hacks.
