Hi,

I recently purchased the Geiger counter shield from you guys, and it has been working happily until today, whenever I turned it on it starts chirping away happily once or twice every second or two, but then after anywhere from 20-40 seconds, it starts screeching and saying it's picking up over 250μSv/h and 30,000CPM. That doesn't seem right/safe to me. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, is there a way to programmatically turn off the piezo buzzer whenever it receives a pulse?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Struct;

Thanks for your question.

As far I could see in your photo you have connected the geiger tube in a wrong way. The red wire is connected to gnd and the black one is connected to positive.

This mistake could produce the malfunction of the board and the break of the tube. Please try to change the position of the wires.

I hope that this will solve the problem but in case that this won't solve it, I am sorry to tell you that this won't be covered by the warranty. In any situation please be free to contact with our Technical Service here:
