Hi,

You could use a LCD screen with light, e.g. this http://www.cooking-hacks.com/index.php/ ... light.html

Ok, so do I just add header to the new LCD, and plug it in and the backlight will come on? or do I need to change programming in Arduino?

Hi,

Just the headers for the connection. The program should work.

Well, it doesn't work at all. I put the pins in just like the non backlit one, and plugged it into the geiger shield, and its not lighting up...

Hi atomic_dave,

If the LCD you got is no backlight, maybe you should contact with info@cooking-hacks.com and they'll give you a solution.

So I was advised by your salesperson to purchase the Backlit LCD from your company so that it would work with the geiger shield. He said that your company would install the pins needed to just plug it in and it should work. Well I just got it today and I plugged it into the geiger shield, and it does not work. Do I need to change something in the sketch? PLEASE ADVISE ASAP.
