Object : G. Board with the J305ß tube.
What : the counter doesn't work properly
Measurements outdoors are all but accurate. The tube is properly connected (+&-), the resistor is on and the code is O.K. (by the way, where comes from the figure 7.8 ? Is it another factor conversion ?)
Outdoors, the CPM is increasing regularly until saturation. Tchirping is continuous and the bar-leds saturated.
I found a "seems to be" missoldering on the board (R11, C4).
Do you think that this may explain that ?
Thanks,
Asp.

PS. I don't know how to attach an image.

Hi aspremont,

If those components (R11 and C4) are not right soldered, that can be the problem.
Could you post an image?
You can use a free image hosting as flickr, picasa, imageshack...

Regards

PS: We changed the title of the post.

Hello aspremont

Thanks for your answer.

As we can see in the board, there is a Ressitor that is not straight. It is in fact in contact with 2 different pads, but that represents no problem because both pads are part of the same trace, so they have the same voltage.

Your problem is not related to this, we will need to bring your materil here to examine where the failure is. Please contact with our technical service by filling this form.

Thanks for your comprehension.

I am disappointed your products.
I just get two Radiation sensor Board from you two days ago.
I find the same problem like aspremont's figure.
Why you know there has been a problem in the production process of the board,You don't check all stocks, you still send the bad board to customer.
This waste my time and money.
Please reply me soon, thanks.

Hello cornetlin.

There is not a problem in the components (R11 y C4). If you check the circuit diagram you could see that this two components are connected so It doesn't matters if you solder this on one or other path.

All the radiation boards are checked before they are delivered to our customers.

Please try to follow our tutorial and in the case you obtain some out of range values contact with technical service.

Thanks,
Because You reply to aspremont "As we could see in the board, there has been a problem in the production process of the board. ", I misunderstand the problem is the production process.
Now I know there is no problem on the board.
Thanks.

Hi
Thanks for the answer. By the way there are two (2) radiation board schematics, one on the forum, the other in the documentation. The wiring is not the same, nor the components.
For instance, let say, on schematic "A", R11 is on the High Voltage circuit. On schematic "B", it is on the 5v circuit connected to the transistor BF823.
I didn't took the time to verify on the board which is which ?
I received an answer from the Technical Staff.
Have a nice day.
Asp.
